Research projects

To carry out research projects within the CRAF, students have access to many tools allowing data acquisition on cadaveric models. These tools are:

  • X-ray
  • Tomodensitometry (Ct-Scan)
  • Sonography
  • Share wave elastography
  • Instron (Universal Testing System)
  • LVDT (Miniature Displacement sensor)
  • Fiber Optic Pressure Transducers (FISO)
  • Motion capture system (Optitrack - 12 cameras)

Here is a non-exhaustive list of projects carried out in my laboratory

  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound for 3D bone modeling. movie
  • Determination of spine kinematics by musculoskelettal ultrasound.
  • Effect of hip clinical testing on the alteration of capsular tissues and joint pressure. movie
  • Correlation of ultrasound elastography and tissue traction properties in capsular tissues.
  • Intradiscal pressure responses to cervical spine mobilizations. movie
  • Clinical Classification of Trapeziometacarpal Joint Arthritis: External Influences on Disease.
  • Effect of vertebral manipulation. video
  • Coracohumeral ligament tension-loading in various glenohumeral joint positions in healthy subjects using shearwave elastography and validation on cadavers using DVRT. movie
  • Neurodynamic testing of the suprascapular nerve.
  • Effect of Neural Mobilization On Intraneural Pressure of Cervical Nerve Roots. movie
