In Paris, on March 14 and 15, 2024, the “Global Inclusive Schools’ Forum” was held, co-organized by UNESCO and the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (IFIP). The Forum brought together 200 practitioners from different regions of the world including: teachers, school leaders, experts from ministries of education supporting inclusive education, as well as representatives of youth organizations and communities, civil society organizations, inclusion researchers and experts, EdTech companies, donor agencies and other interested parties.
During this Forum, the Chair holder Carmen Dionne participated as moderator in a panel on the topic “Scalable Initiatives involving parents and the community”. The objective was to promote initiatives that can be implemented, and which actively involve parents and the community in the inclusive education process.
