Submission

The submitted solutions should satisfy the following requirements:

• For the provided MATLAB/Simulink model (created at MATLAB 2020b), the participants will provide their management strategy in the Proposed Strategy block (dark blue background with the white parallelogram) with the available measurements. The participants MUST NOT change anything about the system model and control. The Strategy will be scored by using the original files of the organizing team.
• The folder “Proposed_ EMS” is for participants’ solutions. All related files must be put in this folder. Participants can also add additional data, functions, or any other files to the folder. Please note that this is the ONLY folder that the participants are allowed to modify.
• If you need to introduce new variables for your EMS, please declare them in the script “Proposed_Strategy.m” with the syntax “EMS.your_new_variable” so that they will not cause any conflicts with available variables.
• In the script “Proposed_Strategy.m”, participants can change the numbers (must be an integer) of the needed power modules (Nbat, Nsc, and Ninv) to satisfy their needs and can also change the driving cycle number (Driving_Cycle) to test the strategy at a different driving cycle.
• To run the simulation, please run the Simulink file provided by the organizing team. Please do not change the location of the challenge files. Your final model, including the provided strategy and additional functions, data should also be run successfully by clicking only the Simulink file.
• Send your program to ke.li2@nottingham.ac.uk with the “IEEE VTS MVC – Team name – Solution X” in the subject field of the email. Make sure that your name and your affiliation are informed in the email.
• Please use standard MATLAB 2020b or earlier versions for submitted solutions. Other software installation is not accepted.
