LIA1032 - Young People's Literature and Theatre

This course will use a bipartite approach to introduce students to young people's literature and performance-based theatre, and to provide them with an overview of great plays.

Students will be initiated to both classic and popular works of children's and/or young people's literature, ranging from pieces for the very young, to novels intended for a young teenage audience. Their drama analysis and appreciation skills will be developed through an overview of great plays. They will also examine the place of literature in the classroom.
