DME1010 - Principles of Language Testing and Evaluation

This course is designed to familiarize students with the different facets of testing and evaluation with a focus on the theoretical principles underlying testing and evaluation.

Students will be acquainted with the following notions : Testing and evaluation, formative evaluation and summative evaluation, criterion-referenced interpretation and norm-referenced interpretation, assessment methods, analytic and holistic approaches, validity and reliability.
