LA MANIC is a famous dam in Northern Québec. LA MANIC is short for ' barrage de la Manicouagan ', or ' MANIC–5 '. See Wikipedia Georges Dor penned his huge hit, LA MANIC, in 1966. The song tells the story of a construction worker, at the remote jobsite on the Manicouagan dam in Northern Québec, who describes his loneliness to his wife in words that captured the collective imagination of the Québec public. |
