Sizing and Energy Management of Hybrid Dual-Energy Storage System for a Commercial Electric Vehicle
The submitted solutions, which include the design of the hybrid dual-energy storage system (H-ESS) and the energy management system (EMS), must respect the following requirements:
The folder “Proposed_ESS_EMS” is for participants’ solutions. All related files must be put in this folder.
The participant will provide the parameters of the designed H-ESS, i.e., number of cells in series and number of parallel branches of battery and supercapacitor packs, and put them into the script “Designed_Storage_System.m” file with supplied corresponding variable names. Note that please do not change the variable names.
The participants will provide their management strategy in the proposed EMS block (dark blue background with the white parallelogram) with the available measurements. The participants must not change anything of the system model and control. The EMSs will be scored by using the original files of the organizing team.
If you need to introduce new variables for your EMS, please declare them in the script “Proposed_EMS.m” with the syntax “EMS.your_new_variable”, so that they will not cause any conflicts with available variables.
Participants can also add their additional data, functions, or any other files to the mentioned folder “Proposed_ESS_EMS”.
To run the simulation, please run the Simulink file provided by the organizing team. Please do not change the location of the challenge files.

Note: Please use standard Matlab 2020a or earlier versions for submitted solutions. Another software installation is not accepted.
