Mission

Established in 1992, RISQ (Recherche et intervention sur les substances psychoactives – Québec) is composed of researchers hailing from various fields and interested in the psychosocial aspects of substance use.

RISQ is fuelled by the questions and concerns of stakeholders. It stands out for its ability to work on various research objectives within longstanding and solid partnerships in the field. RISQ involves not only researchers from universities or practice settings but also clinicians, students and research professionals. Its ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of more effective strategic interventions for people with, or at risk of, substance abuse problems. As such, it attaches much importance to knowledge transfer and training activities, a mark of uniqueness.
