Academically successful MSc students who wish to continue, at the doctoral level, the research project they have undertaken during masters could benefit from a fast-track to PhD procedure. Without the need to write a master's thesis, and being already proficient with experimental work and models, the path to PhD graduation is accelerated. This procedure is already embedded in the Higher education Rule of UQTR and is specifically addressed for students in CMB in the fast-tracking to PhD policy of CMB programs committee, which was revised in April, 2023.
