Social events

There will be a full program of social events at the VPPC Conference, and delegates will enjoy many opportunities to meet up with colleagues- old and new. All delegates are invited to the Welcome party and the Gala dinner.

Monday 19th October

Join us for a casual welcome to the city. The event will take place in the Montreal Forum.

Called "the most storied building in hockey history" by Sporting News, it was the home of the National Hockey League's Montreal Maroons from 1924 to 1938 and the Montreal Canadiens, the winners of 24 Stanley Cup Championships, from 1926 to 1996. The history runs through the building's veins. Today, this building is known as the Montreal Forum, the city's most diverse entertainment centre.

The evening be located on the 4th floor (accessible by elevators) of the Montreal Forum, at the Forum Sport bar. At this venue, the delegates will enjoy full range of entertainment and services. In particular, the VPPC Organising Committee will organise bowling sessions during the conference, a top choice for community-building activities.

Wednesday 21st October

This year's Gala dinner event will be held at the Rialto Theatre. As delegates from past conferences can contend, the VPPC Gala dinners are collegial, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable.

The Rialto Theatre is one of Montreal's most iconic buildings. Its graceful proportions and elegant details are a delight to behold.

Delegates are invited to enjoy this elaborated Gala dinner and have the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences over a glass of wine or a pint of beer. At this evening, the VPPC committee will also annouce the Best Paper Awards to recognize excellence among the delegates.
