Eligibility conditions

 The applicant must:

  1. be an Indian citizen
  2. be under 35 years of age or under at time of application
  3. be proficient in French and/or English language
  4. exhibit excellent academic record and research abilities, and very good communication and leadership skills
  5. cannot have applied for Canadian citizenship or for permanent residency under Canadian immigration law
  6. be registered or intend to register in an eligible program  on a full time basis in 2018-2019
  7. agree to participate to QES community network activities and community engagement activities in Canada

 

Eligibility period

Candidates are eligible for a QES scholarship for the duration of their studies, until the end of the program, December 31, 2021. For candidates under a Cotutelle Agreement, QES scholarships are available for the duration of their studies at UQTR only.

Immigration requirement

The QES scholarship recipients must have a Certificat d'acceptation du Québec (CAQ) issued by the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Diversité et de l'Inclusion du Québec (http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en) AND a student permit issued by the Canadian Government valid for the entire duration of their scholarship.
