Volume 53 of ASECS’s quarterly journal Eighteenth-Century Studies, edited by Sean Moore (University of New Hampshire) with book review editor Jennifer Thorn (St. Anselm College), saw a significant increase in the number of articles and reviews published in contrast to the last several years. Each number of Volume 53 featured four interviews with prominent ASECS members, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Society. In addition, the average count of articles in each number of the journal increased from 4 to 5 and the average number of reviews from 4 to 14.
Studies in Eighteenth-Century Culture, Vol. 48, appeared in 2019; it is the final volume to be edited by Eve Tavor Bannet (University of Oklahoma) with associate editor Roxann Wheeler (Ohio State University). The issue contained a nine-essay forum, edited by Laura M. Stevens (University of Tulsa) on “Devotion in the Enlightenment,” and 13 other articles, including the Clifford Lecture and the Presidential Address delivered at the 2017 Annual Meeting. Succeeding the outgoing editorial team are David Brewer (Ohio State University), editor, and Crystal Lake (Wright State University), associate editor.
