Welcome to the Website of our École internationale de français (EIF) [International French School] of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Founded in 1969, our university is situated in the heart of one of the prominent historical centres of French-speaking America. Trois-Rivières is the second largest francophone city in North America.
Offering a blend of nature, cultural heritage and university life, Trois-Rivières is the ideal environment for French immersion, where citizens and businesses welcome with open arms close to a thousand students who attend our programs every year.
Your immersion experience will be all the more successful if your stay is inspiring academically, socially and culturally. This is why the dedicated and creative team at EIF spares no effort in making sure that your stay with us is as we promise it to be – pleasant and enjoyable.
An institution within our university, EIF draws on its wealth of experience in teaching French as a second or foreign language to provide programs year round. Its summer program is one of the highlights of campus life.
According to Frederico Fellini, Italian film director, “A different language is a different vision of life”. This goes to show how much learning a new language can be enriching.
