Smart Grids
The Hydrogen Research Institute (HRI) and the LIREI (Laboratoire d’Innovation et de Recherche en Énergie Intelligente) have expertise in key areas of smart grids, obtained through several years of valuable research studies. Smart grids offer different potentials for improving energy efficiency, service quality, and customer’s satisfaction through the convergence of information and communication technologies (ICT), artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), electronics, and energy conversion systems in general.

Autonomous and Electric Vehicles – AutoEV
The research activities of AutoEV team focus on the optimization of energy systems for mobile applications, advanced driving assistance techniques, energy-efficient navigation for autonomous vehicles taking into account Canadian climatic conditions. AutoEV team is composed of three main divisions : (1) Autonomous industrial vehicle, (2) Battery and hydrogen vehicles and (3) self driving car. Most research projects are in collaboration with industrial partners.

Cette étude établie par l’institut de recherche sur l’hydrogène représente le volet 1 du rapport intitulé : Potentiel d’adoption de l’hydrogène vert dans le transport lourd et de longue distance au Québec(nouvelle fenêtre). Ce rapport est publié par Propulsion Québec(nouvelle fenêtre) en partenariat avec Innovéé(nouvelle fenêtre). L’objectif général de ce travail est de réaliser une revue de la littérature sur l’état de l’art concernant le potentiel d’utilisation de la technologie des piles à combustible à hydrogène vert dans le transport lourd routier, et d’identifier les travaux et les conclusions qui pourraient s’appliquer à l’écosystème Canadien et plus particulièrement Québécois.
