Our research on microalgae

We focus on developing biofertilizers and biological research tools based on biomass. In order to optimize the production of the biomass necessary for these biotechnological applications, we are investigating the mechanisms that control cellular growth. We mainly examine the following three aspects:

• The mode of action of factors that influence cell division: substrate, lighting and temperature
  
  
• The influence of temperature on cell division in mesophilic species compared to psychrophilic species
  
  
• The influence of light on cell division in mesophilic species compared to psychrophilic species
