Dr. Norbert Hornstein

Dr. Norbert Hornstein is a Professor Emeritus of Linguistics at the University of Maryland at College Park. He graduated from McGill University in 1975 and obtained his PhD in linguistics from Harvard University in 1979. Dr. Hornstein has taught at the University of Maryland since 1983. Working within a generative framework, he has written extensively on generative analyses of both syntax and the syntax-semantics interface.
