Welcome to  VTS Motor Vehicles Challenge 2018

The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières, Argonne National Laboratory, FCLAB Research federation, FEMTO-ST Institute, University of Lille and MEGEVH (French scientific network is HEVs) are proud to launch the 2 nd IEEE VTS Motor Vehicles Challenge 2018 .

Dear VTS Competitors,

Thank you very much for your participation in this year competition.
We are currently processing the reminders of the Autonomy license requests, which should be sent shortly. Thank you for sending the signed copy ASAP.
Due to this slight delay, we'll extend the deadline for submission by 2 weeks to  March 16 .
Looking forward to your submissions!
 The VTS Competition team

Challenge Objective  ( see the IEEE VPPC related paper ):

The objective of this challenge is to minimize the operating cost of a hybrid vehicle. In this way, the fuel consumption and the battery recharging cost will be taken into account to achieve an efficient energy management.

The challenge focuses on the energy management of an Extender Extender Electric Vehicle (RE-EV). Both Academic and Professional teams are welcome to participate in this challenge.

The aim of this challenge is to develop a robust Energy Management Strategy to reduce the fuel (gasoline) consumption and to optimize the battery usage according to several rules. In this way, a simulation program based on Autonomy, a vehicle system simulation will be provided by the US Department of Energy and the Argonne National Laboratory.

IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC) is the 2018 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC).
