This course aims to provide students with an introduction to second language didactics, with particular emphasis on listening and speaking as well as on the teaching of phonetics. It also examines implicit and explicit teaching of vocabulary and grammar for the acquisition of oral competence within the context of a communicative approach. This course combines theoretical considerations with experiential learning and reflective thinking.
- Identify, discuss, and apply the different didactical principles studied.
- Analyse existing oral material and didactic sequences.
- Design and analyse didactic sequences for the teaching of phonetics, listening, and speaking taking into consideration their suitability to the QEP and clienteles targeted.
- Experiment the teaching of oral components or skills
